Strategic Australian migration advice for employers, skilled professionals and families
Australian migration law is complex, and the right pathway depends on much more than meeting the basic eligibility criteria.
Nua Migration provides strategic advice and application support to Australian employers, skilled professionals and couples. We take the time to understand your circumstances, explain your options clearly and identify potential issues before recommending how to proceed.
You will work directly with Registered Migration Agent Amanda O’Shaughnessy, receiving practical, personalised advice shaped around both your immediate needs and your longer-term objectives.
Employer-Sponsored Migration
Nua Migration assists Australian businesses seeking to recruit, sponsor and retain skilled overseas workers.
You may already employ a valued temporary visa holder and want to keep them, be considering overseas recruitment, or have never sponsored a worker before. We simplify the process, explain what is required at each stage and assess the business, position and worker together before significant time and money are committed.
Our employer migration services include:
Standard Business Sponsorship
Skills in Demand visa - Subclass 482
Employer Nomination Scheme visa - Subclass 186
Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional visa - Subclass 494
Temporary Work (Short Stay Specialist) visa Subclass 400
Labour Market Testing
Sponsorship, nomination and visa applications
Sponsorship obligations and compliance
Permanent residency and employee-retention planning
Where a standard sponsorship pathway may not be suitable, we can also consider DAMA, regional and other available options.

Construction, Trades and Engineering Migration
Construction, trades and engineering migration is a particular focus of Nua Migration.
Explore skills assessment considerations for a 482 visa and WA migration subsidies and support.
Before establishing Nua Migration, Amanda spent three years working in migration for the WA State Government within Migration Services WA’s Construction Migration Office. In this role, she supported employers and skilled migrants across employer-sponsored and skilled migration pathways, workforce programs, migration subsidies and trade-licensing considerations.
The correct pathway can vary considerably depending on the occupation, passport country, proposed visa and whether the trade is licensed in Australia. Electricians, plumbers, air-conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, carpenters, bricklayers and other skilled workers may each face different visa, skills assessment, licensing and employment requirements.
Nua Migration can help employers and skilled workers understand:
Which skills assessment or licensing process may apply
What an Offshore Technical Skills Record means for licensed trades
WA provisional licensing and Australian-context gap training requirements for electricians and plumbers
Pathways towards full occupational licensing
Temporary-to-permanent employer-sponsored pathways, including Subclass 482 to Subclass 186 where available
DAMA and regional pathways, including potential concessions for eligible occupations and applicants
Relevant WA workforce programs and migration subsidies
Longer-term permanent residency and employee-retention planning
We consider not only whether a worker may qualify for a visa, but also what may need to happen before they can become appropriately licensed, perform the intended role and remain with the business long term.
Where an employer has not yet identified a suitable worker, we can also provide information about relevant recruitment resources, including Western Australia’s Skilled Migrant Employment Register.
Skilled Migration and WA State Nomination
Nua Migration assists skilled professionals considering independent, State-nominated and regional migration pathways.
Our skilled migration services include:
Skilled Independent visa - Subclass 189
Skilled Nominated visa - Subclass 190
Skilled Work Regional visa - Subclass 491
Expression of Interest preparation
WA State nomination
Employer-sponsored alternatives
Meeting the minimum eligibility requirements or points threshold does not guarantee an invitation. We assess the competitiveness of your position, relevant State requirements, timing and potential risks, and explain whether there may be ways to strengthen your position or pursue an alternative pathway.
Our advice is shaped around both your current eligibility and your longer-term plans for living and working in Australia.

We understand that a partner visa is about much more than an application. We provide clear, personalised guidance on the requirements, evidence and process, helping you prepare a well-organised and properly supported application with confidence.
A secure and organised client experience
Migration applications involve significant amounts of personal and sensitive information. Nua Migration uses Migration Manager, a purpose-built Australian migration practice management system, to manage client matters and exchange documents through a secure online portal.
Migration Manager’s platform is ISO 27001:2022 certified, an internationally recognised standard for information security management.
Once engaged, you can complete questionnaires, upload requested documents and provide information through one organised system, reducing the need to send passports, identity documents and personal records through email.
We have invested in professional systems because protecting your information and making the application process easier to navigate are important parts of the service we provide.
Not sure which pathway applies?
Not every situation fits neatly within one visa category. Employers and individuals may have several possible pathways, each with different requirements, risks and longer-term implications.
A Strategic Consultation allows us to understand your circumstances, assess the available options and provide clear, practical next steps.
